Ben Franklin almost had it right when he said, “…in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” The only thing I’d add to this statement is “change”. Change is certain and inevitable.

The seasons change, our bodies change, our circumstances change, and so on.

Sometimes you can chose to change like changing your eating habits  but sometimes the change is forced upon you suddenly like a job loss.

I remember when I went through my divorce and closed my company, I thought, “This was the worst thing that happened to me.” However, I see now that the changes had made me stronger, wiser, and more compassionate. Because of these unforeseen changes, I got my Master’s in Spiritual Psychology, met my wonderful husband Tom, I work with people of integrity at Stratis Financial, and now I’m launching a new online Real Estate Investment program this year (stay tuned)!

What have been your toughest yet most rewarding changes? I’d love to know.

“The present changes the past. Looking back, you do not find what you left behind.”
― Kiran Desai, The Inheritance of Loss

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
― Lao Tzu

“We can’t be afraid of change. You may feel very secure in the pond that you are in, but if you never venture out of it, you will never know that there is such a thing as an ocean, a sea. Holding onto something that is good for you now, may be the very reason why you don’t have something better.”
― C. JoyBell C.

“Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
― George Bernard Shaw
